Suki (“the app”) is an offline-first Japanese-learning app for JLPT N5, N4 and N3. We designed it to respect your privacy: there is no account, no login, and we do not operate any server that collects your personal data.
What stays on your device. Your learning progress, review schedule (SRS), streaks, mistakes, favorites, mock-exam history and settings are stored locally on your device (in the app’s private storage). We do not transmit this data to us.
Microphone and speech recognition. The pronunciation feature listens to you reading a Japanese word and scores how closely it matches. Recognition is performed by your device’s operating-system speech service; depending on your device, audio may be processed by that OS service (for example, Apple’s speech recognition) under its own privacy terms. We do not record or store your voice on any server of ours. Text-to-speech for example sentences and listening drills runs on your device.
Photos. If you choose “Save image” on a word card or streak card, the app asks for permission to add that image to your photo library. It does not read your existing photos.
Purchases. If you buy “Suki Pro,” the payment is processed by the app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). We never see or store your payment details. Purchases are verified and restored through the store itself; the app does not send your purchase history to any server of ours.
Notifications. To send announcements (for example, a new release), the app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). Firebase issues a device push token and the app subscribes it to broad topics (all users, app language, Free or Pro). The token does not identify you personally. Study reminders are scheduled on your device and do not use this service. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
News. The “What’s new” screen downloads a static file from our website (GitHub Pages). Like any web request, the host sees your IP address; we do not log it.
Backup. If you use the backup/restore feature, a backup file is created and saved or shared by you, to a location you choose. We do not receive it.
Advertising (Google AdMob). The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob in a non-personalised form; the app does not ask for tracking permission (ATT) and does not use the advertising ID to track you across other apps. The AdMob SDK may collect device information (device type, operating system, truncated IP address) to serve ads and prevent fraud; see Google’s policy at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Users in the EU/UK are asked for consent and can change their choice in Settings › Ad privacy. Suki Pro has no ads and does not load the ad SDK. Apart from that, the app contains no third-party analytics; Firebase is used only for the purpose above.
Children. The app is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes. We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change accordingly.

Suki (“ứng dụng”) là ứng dụng học tiếng Nhật và luyện thi JLPT N5, N4, N3, hoạt động ưu tiên ngoại tuyến. Chúng tôi tôn trọng quyền riêng tư của bạn: không có tài khoản, không đăng nhập, và chúng tôi không vận hành máy chủ nào thu thập dữ liệu cá nhân của bạn.
Dữ liệu lưu trên thiết bị. Tiến độ học, lịch ôn tập (SRS), chuỗi ngày học, lỗi sai, mục yêu thích, lịch sử thi thử và cài đặt được lưu cục bộ trên thiết bị của bạn. Chúng tôi không gửi dữ liệu này về phía mình.
Micro và nhận dạng giọng nói. Tính năng luyện phát âm nghe bạn đọc một từ tiếng Nhật rồi chấm độ khớp. Việc nhận dạng do dịch vụ giọng nói của hệ điều hành thực hiện; tùy thiết bị, âm thanh có thể được dịch vụ đó (ví dụ dịch vụ nhận dạng của Apple) xử lý theo điều khoản riêng của họ. Chúng tôi không ghi âm hay lưu giọng nói của bạn trên bất kỳ máy chủ nào của mình. Giọng đọc câu ví dụ và bài nghe được tạo ngay trên máy.
Ảnh. Khi bạn chọn “Lưu hình ảnh” ở thẻ từ hoặc thẻ chuỗi ngày học, ứng dụng xin quyền thêm ảnh đó vào thư viện Ảnh. Ứng dụng không đọc ảnh có sẵn của bạn.
Mua hàng. Nếu bạn mua “Suki Pro”, thanh toán do cửa hàng ứng dụng (Apple App Store hoặc Google Play) xử lý. Chúng tôi không nhìn thấy hay lưu thông tin thanh toán của bạn. Việc xác thực và khôi phục giao dịch thực hiện qua chính cửa hàng; ứng dụng không gửi lịch sử mua của bạn tới máy chủ nào của chúng tôi.
Thông báo. Để gửi thông báo (ví dụ khi có phiên bản mới), ứng dụng dùng Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). Firebase cấp một mã thiết bị để nhận thông báo và ứng dụng đăng ký mã này vào các nhóm chung (mọi người dùng, ngôn ngữ, Free hoặc Pro). Mã này không định danh cá nhân bạn. Nhắc học được lên lịch ngay trên máy và không dùng dịch vụ này. Bạn có thể tắt thông báo trong cài đặt của máy.
Tin tức. Màn “Có gì mới” tải một tệp tĩnh từ website của chúng tôi (GitHub Pages). Như mọi yêu cầu web, máy chủ thấy địa chỉ IP của bạn; chúng tôi không lưu lại.
Sao lưu. Nếu bạn dùng tính năng sao lưu/khôi phục, tệp sao lưu do chính bạn tạo và lưu/chia sẻ tới nơi bạn chọn. Chúng tôi không nhận tệp này.
Quảng cáo (Google AdMob). Bản miễn phí hiển thị quảng cáo của Google AdMob ở dạng không cá nhân hoá; ứng dụng không xin quyền theo dõi (ATT) và không dùng mã quảng cáo để theo dõi bạn qua app khác. SDK AdMob có thể thu thập thông tin thiết bị (loại máy, hệ điều hành, địa chỉ IP rút gọn) để phục vụ quảng cáo và chống gian lận — xem chính sách của Google tại https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Người dùng ở EU/UK được hỏi ý kiến và có thể đổi lựa chọn trong Cài đặt › Quyền riêng tư quảng cáo. Suki Pro không có quảng cáo và không nạp SDK quảng cáo. Ngoài ra ứng dụng không chứa công cụ phân tích bên thứ ba; Firebase chỉ dùng cho mục đích nêu trên.
Trẻ em. Ứng dụng phù hợp với mọi đối tượng và không cố ý thu thập thông tin cá nhân của trẻ em.
Thay đổi. Chính sách có thể được cập nhật; ngày “Cập nhật lần cuối” sẽ thay đổi tương ứng.
